We are...what?
Humans?
Mammals?
Sentient beings with a higher than average intelligence in the world of animals?
Yes, we are all these. But what we are most are destroyers.
I do not say this lightly. I say it because it is my opinion on the human race.
But it's not only my opinion. It's also the truth.
Don't get me wrong. We create lots of things, and some of them are even good things.
Good for us. A small amount of it is good for other animals and for nature, but the awareness of what we are doing to nature only came to us a few decades ago, and I'm quite sure that it was too late even then.
Anyways, what humans have done more than anything else is destroying things. we have eradicated several species of animals, we have torn down trees and flattened uncountable acres of ground to use for farming and building our cities. We pollute the earth with all our exhausts, fumes and gasses and while we do all this, we're using up all our fossil fuels.Yes, we are searching for other ways to get electricity and other ways of making our cars go forward and our airplanes fly, but I personally think it's too little, too late.
As my father once said "We humans live on borrowed time". This means that he thinks we, the human race, is on overtime, like in a football match. Our survival depends wholly on the outcome of current research into ways of replacing our use of fiossil fuels and to combat the increasing pollution and how to stop the corruption of the ozon-layer.
Now, I've got the solution to all these problems. It's very controvercial, but as i see it, it's the only way to preserve the earth.
Why don't you give me some alternatives? This is up for discussion as always, but I think it would be interesting to see what normal people like those who read this thinks of the matter.
